General Position Summary:

The Inventory Buyer maintains inventory levels & ordering in retail cannabis procurement. This position is responsible for assisting the Remedy Store Manager and CEO of TEDCO in oversight of the purchasing of cannabis and related supplies for the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all purchasing directives as established and co-ordinate ordering and deliveries of inventory as needed while staying in TCA Compliance at all times.
  • Ensure availability of merchandise and products by forecasting cannabis inventory trends.
  • Formulate order proximities to ensure appropriate inventory levels for operations at all times
  • pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing sales; and study trends while coordinating pricing with Accounting and the Store Manager.
  • Secure merchandise by following security protocol and measures while following Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and TCA Regulations.
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.
  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
  • Deal with purchasing staffing issues such as conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development.
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities over all TBC Inventory staff and reports directly to the Store Manager.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years of business management experience preferred
  • 1 year of Cannabis ordering required
  • Knowledgeable in Korona & Leaf Data
  • Degree in Business or related field preferred

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute ratio and percent and interpret graphs. Understanding of basic accounting principles.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests and other staff.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

This position is classified as a sensitive position.  Therefore, applicant must submit to and clear a pre-employment criminal background check.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated passion to serve cannabis guests and community.
  • Knowledge of regulations and ability to familiarize oneself with applicable Tribal Ordinances/Regulations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, guests and vendors.
  • Ability to work a FLEXIBLE work schedule may include travel over nights and weekends

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time, lift up to 75 lbs, and visit various work locations.

Working Conditions:

This is a normal retail sales setting; noise level ranges from quiet to moderate
